Investment in Texans, in homeownership

Launched in 1980 by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (“TDHCA”), the My First Texas Home (“MFTH”) program and the Texas Mortgage Credit Certificate (“TXMCC”) provide first-time, low- to moderate income home buyers access to competitive low interest rate home loans, down payment and closing cost assistance, and dollar-for-dollar tax reduction on federal tax liabilities.

In 2017, the MFTH and TXMCC programs advanced the dream of homeownership for more than 7,500 households across the state.
